Tracker ATVs are built by Textron Specialized Vehicles, the company behind Arctic Cat, and sold under the Tracker Off Road name owned by Bass Pro Shops. The first ATVs launched as 2020 models and were essentially re-badged Arctic Cat Alterra quads, and the 2023 Alterra 600 and Tracker 600 recall covered both brands together.

Tracker's own ATV page in October 2026 lists the 90, 300, 450, 600 and 600EPS LE, plus a 2024 600EPS. The 570 and 700 that older articles describe are not on it.

Who owns Tracker Off Road, and who builds the ATVs?

Bass Pro Shops announced Tracker Off Road on January 22, 2019. The release says Textron Specialized Vehicles (TSV) would build the vehicles at its Thief River Falls, Minnesota, plant, and sell them through boat dealers, Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's. Bass Pro Shops release.

The Tracker name belongs to Bass Pro's White River Marine Group, the boat builder, according to SnowGoer's 2019 coverage. Thief River Falls is the former Arctic Cat factory.

Tracker's current pages do not name the factory. What shows Textron still stands behind the vehicles is the paper trail: the 2022, 2023 and 2024 Tracker recall notices all name Textron Specialized Vehicles as the contact for repairs.

Tracker lists one seat on the 90, 600 and 600EPS LE. The 600 and 600EPS LE share the 45 hp engine, 5.7-gallon tank and 1,050-lb tow rating. The LE adds a 3,500-lb winch and 26-inch tires on aluminum wheels. A 2024 600EPS with electronic power steering is also listed at $8,799.

The 450 is the least expensive 4WD in the lineup, while the 300 is two-wheel drive only. That gap decides most buying questions, so the picker below sorts the models by what you need to haul.

Based on the Tracker 300, 450, 600 and 600EPS LE tow and rack ratings in the table above (Tracker model pages, October 2026). The 90 is a youth model with no tow rating, so it is not included.

The picker uses the tow and rack ratings in the table above. It does not account for hills, mud or brakes, so stay well under the rating when pulling a trailer on a slope.

Check the sticker on the machine and the owner's manual before you load it, because ratings can change by model year.

Rack ratings are low compared with towing ratings. A 600 carries 100 lb on the front rack and 200 lb on the rear, so a loaded gear bag and a full cooler can take up most of it. A good rack bag keeps that weight low and centered; here is an ATV rack bag search on Amazon to compare options (check the current price there).

What happened to the Tracker 570 and 700?

Tracker launched with a 90, 300, 570 and 700. ATV.com's December 2019 lineup review lists the 570 at 545cc with 39 hp and 1,050 lb of towing, and the 700 EPS at 695cc with 41 hp.

Neither model appears on Tracker's current ATV page, and no source reviewed says why. If you are looking at a used 570 or 700, treat it as a 2020-era machine and verify specs and parts support with a Tracker dealer.

Is the Tracker 90 a good youth ATV?

The Tracker 90 has a parent-adjustable speed-limiting governor, electric start with kickstart backup, a bright orange safety flag and forward, neutral and reverse gears. Tracker lists its recommended age as "10 and up."

The 2019 ATV.com review said 12 and older, so the manufacturer's guidance has changed or been written differently. The CPSC says riders younger than 16 should ride only age-appropriate youth models, never adult machines. Read the owner's manual and set the governor before the first ride.

The ATV recalls apply to the 2022 and 2023 Tracker 600 only. The VIN is on the front right-hand frame tube beside the right shock, and Textron's recall line is 888-525-6040. The notices say to stop riding an affected machine until it is repaired.

Tracker's recalls page also lists side-by-side and electric utility vehicle recalls from 2023 and 2024. The checker below covers the models above and tells you where to confirm your VIN.

Check a model and year against the recall list

Choose a model and year, then select Check recalls.

Based on CPSC recalls 22-763, 23-739 and 25-701 in the table above and the recall list on trackeroffroad.com. It does not replace a VIN lookup.

A "no recall listed" answer is only as good as the list, so a VIN lookup on the Tracker recalls page is the final word. Recall repairs are free at an authorized dealer.

Checking takes two minutes and matters most on a used 600, where a cracked A-arm bracket can cost you steering.

Are Tracker ATVs reliable?

No independent long-term reliability data was found for Tracker ATVs. What the record does show is two recalls on the 600, both shared with the Arctic Cat Alterra 600, and none listed on Tracker's page for the 90, 300 or 450.

A recall record is not a reliability score. It shows what Textron reported to the CPSC, not how many machines needed repairs. For comparison, see our guide to the most reliable 4x4 ATVs, which weighs recall records and specs for the major brands.

Tracker's page still lists 2024 and 2025 models in October 2026. One forum thread from August 2025 worried that dealers were thinning out, but it cites no official announcement, so treat that as unverified.

What does the Tracker ATV warranty cover?

Tracker's warranty page says every Tracker ATV comes with a 12-month factory warranty. The model pages offer paid extensions of 24, 36, 48 or 60 months. On the 450 and 600 the extensions are $499, $649, $799 and $1,049, and on the 300 they are $449, $599, $749 and $899. The 90's extensions run $399 to $849.

The page does not list what is excluded. The full terms are in the warranty statement PDF for your model year, so read it before you buy an extension. Warranty questions go to Tracker customer service at 888-885-4050.

Tracker UTVs

Tracker also sells side-by-sides, including the OX 400, 800 SX and 800 SX Crew. Recall 25-701 covers the 2022 to 2024 800SX models. Our guide to Tracker 800 SX problems covers the common faults, and the side-by-side explainer covers how a UTV differs from an ATV.

Before you buy a Tracker ATV

  1. Match the model to your load with the picker above, and leave margin on the tow rating.
  2. Run the VIN on the Tracker recalls page, especially on a used 600.
  3. Ask the dealer for the warranty statement for that model year and decide on an extension before the 12 months run out.
  4. Confirm the tire size before replacing them, using our ATV tire size guide.
  5. If you plan to winch, check the rating with our winch size calculator, and wear the gear in our ATV riding gear checklist.
